ABOUT

I was born in Surrey, England, and from an early age was fascinated with film and then, later, theatre. The obligatory school plays led to directing and producing at the Ben Travers Theatre, at Charterhouse School, before I gained admission to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, to attend the stage management degree course.

Employment was not as forthcoming as it had proved for Guildhall’s acting alumni of the time, Daniel Craig and Ewan McGregor, so after further studies in film and communication I gained employment in the horseracing industry – a sport I had followed religiously for some years. I worked across all aspects of the sport including gaming, media marketing and even racehorse management, before becoming a fully-fledged racing journalist. After a few years as a features writer, I was given the opportunity to produce and direct several documentaries for a new racing channel (AtTheRaces) and these features proved highly successful and were subsequently serialised on Channel 4 (UK).

It was at this time that I moved to Sweden with my wife and since then I have continued to work in various positions in and around the media landscape. From producing mobile content and corporate films to presenting travel shows, as well as working in terrestrial TV (UK) as a producer and director.

I am now permanently based in Sweden, where I work as a freelance producer, writer and documentary maker.
